The Garden Route Sixes isn’t just a tournament, it’s a summer celebration of skill, spirit, and seaside energy.
Play or watch cricket, padel, and golf, all set against the stunning backdrop of Plettenberg Bay.
Off the field, soak up beach parties, live DJs, amazing food, and the best vibes the Garden Route has to offer.

CRICKET SIXES
Fast-Paced, High- Energy Action in Plett!
Step onto the pitch at Plett Primary Oval and experience the thrill of six-a-side cricket in one of South Africa’s most iconic coastal towns.
The Garden Route Sixes unites social and competitive teams for a two-day, festival-style tournament packed with fierce competition and unforgettable vibes.
Matches run Saturday 15 Nov 09:00–18:00 & Sunday 16 Nov 09:00–17:00.
Game Format
• Teams: 6 players per side
• Field: Max 60m radius oval with standard wicket dimensions
• Overs: 5 overs (30 balls) per innings
• Every player (except the wicketkeeper) bowls one over
• Fielding: Every player fields – fitness is key!
Speed Up the Action
• All bowlers deliver from the same end to keep things fast-paced.
• Run-ups are capped at 10 paces to ensure a quick game flow.
Player Rotation
To keep the game fair and fun for all:
• Batting and bowling positions rotate after every game
• This is mandatory for juniors, and optional for adults
• Promotes equal opportunity and all-round development
Scoring Big
• Players retire at 40 runs but may return if the team is all out
• Hit a 10-run shot by sending the ball into one of six Accelerator Zones around the field
• Zones are marked with two CG flags, 10 yards apart
• Balls entering the zone on the ground or in the air count
• Umpire signal: Arms crossed in an ‘X’ above the head (X = Roman numeral for 10)
Special Game Rules
• If the last player is out, the remaining batter continues solo until:
• All balls are bowled
• Or they are dismissed
• Wides & No Balls: 2 runs + an extra delivery
• No Ball = Free Hit on the next ball
• Overthrows that pass through an Accelerator Zone = Bonus 10 runs!
In Case of a Tie
• Group stage: Points are shared
• Knockout stage: Super Over decides the winner!

All other aspects of play follow the official laws of cricket.

Date: Friday 14 Nov 2025, Shotgun Start 08:30 AM
Venue: Goose Valley Golf Club
Format: SIXES TEAM GOLF shotgun start. 2 players per team. Pairings of 2 play 6 holes at a time. 2 points for a win, 1 for a halved match. Round robin, followed by knockout.
Prizes & geez: Nearest to the pins, longest drives, best dressed team, Sixes trophies, watering holes, and a 19th hole with a Garden Route twist.
Price: R2000 per team (2 players per team)

Get ready to rally, volley, and smash your way through the Garden Route Sixes Padel Tournament at Absolute Padel in Plett!
Set in a high-energy, social, and super-fun environment, padel is easy to pick up and perfect for players of all levels.
Venue: Absolute Padel, Plettenberg Bay
Schedule: We have two specific dates for our Cape Town tournament.

Leagues: We have 3 leagues at our tournaments which are Woman, Mixed and Men
Price: R1200 Per Team

Match Format: We’re playing Team Americano a 21-point match format that maximises the number of matches per team in a fun and social setting.

Teams: The game is primarily played in doubles, emphasising teamwork and strategic play.

Serving: Serves must be underhand and initiated from behind the service line. The ball must bounce once in the opponent’s service box and may rebound off the wall.

Scoring: The first team to reach 21 points wins the match

Prizes: There are great prizes up for grabs for 1st and 2nd place in each league. as well as awards for the best dressed and best. ‘gees’ teams.
